But that’s not all…
Don’t do what others do by running off to go and create content just because they have a list of keywords they believe people are looking for.
That’s not the smart way to go about it.
Just like in marketing, we never believe that what we think will work best until we test it out.

2. Keyword Everywhere
Once you have generated your list of keywords people are searching for.
Head over to keywordseverywhere.com and download and install the Google chrome extension of keywords everywhere, it cost around $10 for 100,000 credit (where 1 credit = 1 keyword).
Copy and paste those keywords in Google search results one after the other and check out how many searches each keyword generates per month, how much are advertisers in your niche willing to pay for it – that’s the Cost per Click (CPC) and the AdWords competition.
By doing this you can now see the volume of searches each keyword generates each month and decide whether it worths your time writing content for that keyword and optimizing your page to rank on the first page for such keyword.
Please note that most time you might not see the volume of the searches on keywords everywhere. If so, then all you need to do in order to find the monthly search volume and CPC is to go to your Google keyword planner and search for the keyword.
Make Your Website Mobile Responsive
It’s no longer news that Google rewards websites that are mobile responsive than those that are not.
Here is what Google has to say about making your website mobile responsive.
This shows you how important it is to have a mobile responsive website and the effect it has on your search rankings.
Regardless of that fact, if your website is not mobile responsive you will be having a higher bounce rate as most of your website visitors will be clicking off your website because they can’t access your content easily.
This is really a bad sign and will eventually trigger Google to derank your page causing you to lose most if not all your website traffic.

Title Tag Optimisation

Meta Description Optimisation
A meta description is what shows below the Title tag and it tells Google a bit more information about your page and also gives people a little bit of information on what they are to expect when they click through to read your content.
Write your meta description in such a way that it will persuade people to click on your content.
To edit your Title Tag and Meta Description on your website, you can use a simple plugin called Yoast SEO plugin.
Image Name and Alt Tag Optimisation
Before uploading your image try as much as possible to include your keyword on your images to increase its chances of getting discovered on the image search section of your browser.
The Alt tag is another great one as it helps search engines understand what your image is all about, which also helps to improve rankings.
Linking to your internal pages is another great way to get the search engines to learn more about your website and have a general knowledge of what you do.

- Are you getting those links from related websites or websites that have something to do with your industry? For example, as a real estate investor, getting a link from a website that specializes in skincare news sites looks fishy in Google’s eyes as it doesn’t relate to what you do. Whereas getting a link from a real estate news site will be considered a high quality link.
Anchor Text used while linking to your real estate investment website is very important because you don’t want a situation where every website is linking to you using the same anchor text which might look shady or spammy in Google Bots eyes which will end up getting your website deranked instead of moving up.
Just like Link building, getting an authority figure or celebrity in your niche to share your content has a more positive effect on your ranking than when ordinary people share the same content.
Google has a way it recognizes social shares from influencers in your niche and they tend to prioritize their shares on your content than when other people share it.
So try as much as possible to get influencers in your niche to read and share your posts to their audience.
